Labrador tea (Rhododendron groenlandicum) is a low evergreen shrub from the heath family, native to northern North American bogs, known for its fragrant, leathery leaves with fuzzy, rusty undersides, used for centuries by Indigenous peoples and settlers to make a medicinal tea, especially for colds, though it contains toxins and should be consumed in moderation. It grows in wet, acidic soils, features small white flowers, and provides winter browse for moose and deer.
