Ecologies come in many sizes and forms.  They are somewhat defined by the life that predominates the area, but there are thousands of shades of grey and overlap, not fifty.  The soil, water and sun that are necessary can change dramatically over a distance of a few feet.  Dolphin Place Open Space exhibits a number of Puget Sound environments
