Indian Plum (Oemleria cerasiformis) is a native Pacific Coast shrub, also called osoberry, known for its early white flowers, cucumber-scented crushed leaves, and small, bitter purple fruit that ripens to be edible (though still often tart) and is vital for birds and wildlife. It's a resilient, multi-stemmed plant that thrives in sun or shade, offering early spring nectar and late-season berries.
