A fireweed is a native, tall wildflower (Chamaenerion angustifolium) known for its striking spikes of pink-to-purple flowers, thriving in disturbed areas like roadsides and meadows, spreading vigorously by seeds/rhizomes, attracting pollinators, and used for food/tea, common throughout the Pacific Northwest's diverse habitats, from sea level to mountains.
