Devil's Club (Oplopanax horridus) is a large, thorny deciduous shrub from the Pacific Northwest, known for its huge palmate leaves, formidable spines covering stems and leaves, white flowers, and red berries, serving as important traditional medicine and ceremonial plant for Indigenous peoples and providing food for bears. It's also a natural barrier, used for its bark in teas, salves, and treatments for various ailments, and its wood for tools, while its spines deter unwanted visitors
